Much like the 12th sign, Pisces, who rules the 12th house, this is where we lose ourselves:  the house of "self-undoing" or dissolution.  Along with the liberation from the physical world, this is the house of the hidden, and the planets and signs that fall here might reveal new paths or unrealized desires.
